Do you love fishing, watching weigh ins and getting ready for the early morning blast off? Head to the Upper Chesapeake Bay from June 14-16th for a blast on the water with B.A.S.S. Nation!
Located in Cecil County, the Academy Sports + Outdoors B.A.S.S. Nation Eastern Regional will be a weekend-long event serving as a regional tournament, with top-level finishers qualifying for the Championship. Over 300 qualifying anglers will be present in this exciting event.
Although this is the first regional tournament of its kind to be held at Cecil County’s Anchor Marina, they have an abundance of experience in working with B.A.S.S. in the past. Sandy Turner, Coordinator for Cecil County Tourism, stated, “We’re really excited about hosting the anglers and organizers of the B.A.S.S. Nation Tournament. Bassmaster is a wonderful organization and we’re pleased to have them back along the shores of Cecil County. The anglers are coming from Maine to Florida and will be spending the week with us. We know the impact of their spending will be very positive as they’ll be staying in hotels, eating in restaurants, and shopping in local businesses. Anglers and Bassmaster truly are VIPs! We want to roll out the red carpet for them. ”
The B.A.S.S. Nation Eastern Regional includes participation from 17 states from all over the country, as well as participants traveling to Maryland from Canada. There is also an estimated total of $1,071,840 in direct economic impact of hosting the B.A.S.S. National Regional Championship.
The first boat is scheduled to take off at 5:15am on Wednesday, June 14th and the final weigh-in is scheduled for 2pm on Friday, June 16th. Make sure to come to any and all in between as the event is free and open to the public!
