Action-packed berm turns, table tops and step-ups are only among a few adrenaline boosters to all who compete at the famous and respected Chesapeake BMX.

Nestled in Severn-Danza Park, Chesapeake BMX is one of the top rated tracks among roughly 300 on the East Coast. Being only one of four tracks within the state of Maryland, Chesapeake BMX is a non-profit track relying on their volunteers to help generate exciting events, practices, clinics and race days year round.

BMX is not only for the fearless; it is for anyone at any age, male or female. Eric Huber, Chesapeake BMX Coach, stated, “On most race days we average 150-200 riders, boys and girls, men and women, ranging from two years old to 70 years old.” Some may also think BMX is an expensive sport to test the waters with, but Chesapeake BMX wants to provide the opportunity for all to explore this adrenaline-rushing sport, providing a plethora of loaner bikes and helmets for riders to use. No matter your age, skillset or budget, Chesapeake BMX makes it easy and affordable for riders of all levels and interests to try out the sport they are incredibly passionate about.

Chesapeake BMX hosts various events that vary from weekly races within the area to regional championships and all the way to the USA BMX East Coast Nationals annually. The East Coast Nationals welcomed riders from 33 states across the country as well as riders from Canada and Australia.
