USA Triathlon is currently seeking proposals to host its Duathlon National Championships in 2020 and 2021. The two-day event draws about 900 athletes and their families.

Deadline to Bid: May 26, 2017
Time of year: May-October
Venue requirements: Courses to accommodate 10-kilometer, 5-kilometer and 2.5-kilometer runs, and 40-kilometer and 20-kilometer bicycle races
Estimated number of attendees: Athletes: 800 from out-of-town; 100 local; Spectators: 1,000 out-of-town; 500 local
Hotel requirements: Within 20 minutes of race venue
Rate: $100-$200
Rights Fee: $30,000 ($15,000 per year)
