The 85 acre campus is a transportation hub, with two MTA light rail stops, the MARC commuter terminal, on site access to I-395, and numerous parking lots. It is the combination of parking and transportation with a tree-lined boulevard, gardens, and lawns that gives the complex its versatility for hosting large outdoor events. Some of the better known activities and attractions which take place at the entertainment complex are the African American Heritage Festival, and the annual Baltimore Marathon.
